SAN ANTONIO TX Nov 25 2012  -- Black Friday got off to a rowdy start atSouth Park Mall where police say one shopper pulled a gun on another shopper atSears.
According to a San Antonio police report, a 33-year-old man was punchedin the face by another man who allegedly pushed his way to the front of theline around 9 p.m. Thursday.
The store opened to early Black Friday shoppers at 8p.m. 
The man who was punched told officers he pulled out hishandgun in self defense, which caused other shoppers to scramble for their ownsafety. 
Police said the man who threw the punch took cover behind arefrigerator and then left the store before officers arrive.
According to the report, the gun had a single bullet in thechamber. Officers emptied the gun and handed it back to its owner after heshowed officers his concealed carry permit.
The mother of the man who allegedly pushed his way to thefront of the line said the man with the gun had instigated the scuffle. Shetold officers he had been rude while standing near them in line ever since 6a.m.
Police said the store manager gave the man with the gun avoucher and asked him to leave.
All parties were then asked to leave and were escorted awayby police.
Police said one man was stepped on by shoppers who runningfor cover after the gun was pulled. He was treated for minor injuries at thestore.
