BPO Rocks schedule announced

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra announced a new series of concerts entitled “The BPO Rocks,” beginning September 28^th with a show featuring the Indigo Girls. On October 12^th, Three Dog Night joins the BPO with new orchestral arrangements for old hits, while Jamestown’s Natalie Merchant, formerly of 10,000 Maniacs, brings her new orchestral show to the stage on February 16^th, 2013. Completing the lineup is a pair of tribute artists: Pianist and vocalist Michael Cavanaugh playing the songs of Elton John on October 27^th, and conductor and arranger Brent Havens with his Led Zeppelin tribute on May 11^th, 2013.Concerts begin at 8 p.m. at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo. Tickets are on sale now and start at $29. Fans can purchase tickets for all five shows or purchase “rock packs” of six, eight, 10 or 12 tickets to be used at any of these shows as well.
