The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, Triple-A International League farm team for the New York Yankees, will play their entire schedule on the road in 2012 while their permanent home, PNC Field in Moosic, Pennsylvania is renovated. Six of their “home” games will be held at Coca Cola Field in downtown Buffalo, with our own Buffalo Bisons serving as the “away” team.

With the team playing 84 of their 144-game schedule in upstate New York, their name for 2012 will be the Empire State Yankees. Their New York State “home” games, in addition to the six in Buffalo, include 37 games at Frontier Field in Rochester, seven games in Dwyer Stadium in Batavia and 10 at Alliance Bank Stadium in Syracuse. They will also play “home” games at Coca Cola Park, home of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs in Allentown, Pennsylvania (eight games) and at McCoy Stadium, home of the Pawtucket Red Sox in Pawtucket, Rhode Island (four games).
